We built the agency we wanted to book through.

Liveaboard diving is sold almost entirely by search engines. You type a destination, you get a grid of boats sorted by an algorithm that has never been underwater, and you book on price because there is nothing else to go on.

That works fine right up until it does not, until the boat you picked expects fifty logged dives and you have twenty, or the itinerary you paid for turns out to run in a month when nothing is there. Every experienced diver has a story like that, and none of them are the booking site's problem.

So we built the other thing. A short list of boats chosen by people who dive, a plainly written page for each one saying who it suits and who it does not, and a club that makes the good advice worth paying for instead of a cost we have to hide inside a markup.

How we make money, stated plainly

Two ways, and neither one changes your price. The operator pays us for the booking, the way they pay any agent, and it is the same whichever boat you choose. Members pay an annual fee, and that is what funds the club.

We do not take a markup on cabins. We do not get paid more for steering you to one boat over another. If a boat we do not list is the right answer for your trip, we will say so.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator and we do not run the boats. We act as a booking agent: your trip contract is with the vessel, under their terms, and you pay them directly. We are also not a package holiday seller, and we never bundle flights with a cabin, which keeps the arrangement simple for everyone.
